Sinovel reveals orders for South Africa

Chinese Turbine maker Sinovel has received an order to deliver nine Sinovel wind turbines, each with an output of 3MW at Van Stadens wind farm.

The 27MW wind project is located in the Nelson Bay Municipality in the country’s Eastern Cape Province.

Developer Metrowind is expecting the delivery of the wind turbines in May, next year. The wind farm is scheduled to be operational by February, 2014.

Sinovel will also look after the operation and maintenance of the wind turbines for 15 years, after the commercial operating date.
