Gamesa Teams Up with China Longyuan Power

Gamesa has signed a deal to supply 24 of its G87 and G90 2MW turbines to Chinese developer Longyuan Group for a wind farm to be built in Jiangkou, Fujian Province.

Spain’s Gamesa says it has prepared an “integral solution” to suit the conditions of the site, including supplying a “Class S” version of the G87 turbine that can be installed in “close to Class I” sites – increasing energy production by 8% compared to the former G80-2.0 Class I model.

The total capacity to be installed will be 48 MW. Gamesa will begin supplying the turbines from October. Gamesa and Longyuan have jointly installed 1.73GW in China, and also have a co-operation deal to build projects internationally.
