Trina Solar installs 27MW DG Solar

Chinese photovoltaics (PV) maker Trina Solar Ltd (NYSE:TSL) said Monday it completed and hooked to the grid three distributed generation (DG) solar arrays with a combined capacity of 27 MW in end-2015.

The PV systems were installed on the rooftops of three large factories in Jiangsu province’s city of Suqian. Equipped with 110,000 Trina Solar Honey modules, they are expected to generate some 30 GWh of electricity annually over the next 20 years, enough to offset as much as 29,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions each year.

The company will sell the output of the arrays to the Suqian Economic & Technological Development Zone (SEDZ), in which they are located. Trina Solar will provide the operations and maintenance (O&M) services for the systems, it noted.
