Guantang Wastewater Treatment Plant To Go Online this Year

The phase one project of the Guantang wastewater treatment plant, which has the capacity to process 40,000 tons of wastewater per day, is expected to go into use this year. The plant, which is located in Liudong New District, is the first wastewater treatment plant in the area. It is expected to be Liuzhou’s best facility for wastewater treatment.

The water treated by the plant will reach China’s top-level standards for wastewater, which means the treated water can be put into lakes and reservoirs directly. Wastewater treated by other facilities in Liuzhou can only be put into rivers because of their lower-quality.

The treated water from the Guantang plant is expected to water trees and flowers in the vocational education zone in Liuzhou and Liuzhou Expo Park. The total capacity of the Guantang wastewater treatment plant is expected to increase to 250,000 tons a day with the completion of phase three.
