Doosan Boosts Desalination Business by Buying Out British Company

Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction Co., a South Korean power equipment maker, said it acquired the British water treatment company Enpure Ltd., which is in administration. The purchase is in a bid to boost Doosan’s desalination business.

This was reported by the Yonhap news agency, who did not cite the source of the report. Doosan Heavy also didn’t reveal the terms of the deal for Enpure Ltd., which designs and installs water and waste treatment plants.

Visitors to the enpure.co.uk website today were told the site was “under construction” and advised to direct all e-mails to Avtar Jirh at doosan.com.
