APR Energy taking the heat in the Middle East

SANA’A, Yemen – Leading international temporary power provider, APR Energy announced today that it has signed a new contract to provide a seasonal power solution in Yemen. The 60MW contract will be fulfilled across two sites near the city of Aden, using diesel-fired power generation technologies.

The generation equipment will be deployed on a fast-track basis from APR’s newly opened hub facility in Dubai. “This is further evidence of our hub strategy delivering tangible results. Upon completion of this contract we will have fulfilled over 200MW from the Dubai Hub since its opening earlier this year,” said APR Energy CEO, John Campion. “With this infrastructure in place we anticipate rapid and successful deployment of this latest contract win.”

This new contract in Yemen represents APR Energy’s second within the Middle East in the last four months, and is evidence of the company’s ongoing efforts to provide power solutions within this strategic market.

APR will provide for a reliable supply of electricity to counteract peak season demands in Yemen and will be flexible in nature in order to be run in connection to the local grid or in island mode, unconnected to the grid. In accordance with its agreement, APR Energy will provide for all installation, operation and maintenance of the power facility for the duration of the contract.

Year-to-date, APR Energy has totaled 344MW in new contract awards and 356MW of renewals.
