PUB and the United States’ Environmental Protection Agency will work together on safe drinking water research, watershed management, R&D for innovative water and wastewater treatment, water reuse, and other areas of mutual interest.

Singapore’s national water agency PUB and the United States’ Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will work together on safe drinking water research, watershed management, research and development for innovative water and wastewater treatment, water reuse, and other areas of mutual interest.

This follows a MOU on collaboration in sustainable management of water resources that the two sides signed on Thursday. In a joint statement, the two sides said the MOU underscores many areas of synergy between Singapore and the United States in sustainable water management.

The areas include providing safe and sustainable water for their populations, growing strong and vibrant industry water clusters, and providing innovative water solutions, jobs and economic growth.

The MOU was signed by the chief executive of PUB, Chew Men Leong, and US Ambassador to Singapore, David Adelman, at the NEWater Visitor Centre in Singapore.
