Asia Pacific’s power and energy market is moving from a fossil fuel generation monopoly to a more competitive structure with a growing share of renewable energy. Many countries in this region are characterized by high growth and rapidly industrializing economies, with an equally significant demand for electricity. Generally, the power generation sector is dominated by fossil fuel generated electricity. Fossil fuels account for 75% of electricity production in India, and around 90% in Indonesia, Thailand and Japan respectively.

It will also shed light on how strategic collaboration and investments in power projects between public and the private sector can be efficiently implemented.
