Orange Jaisalmer Wind Energy Raises Rs 1.95 billion for Rajasthan Wind Project

Orange Jaisalmer Wind Energy, an Orange Renewable Holding SPV, has raised a loan of Rs1.95 billion to finance the a 50.4MW wind power plant located in Bhesada, in the district of Jaisalamer in Rajasthan.

The project is being implemented under the wind power policy of the state government. The loan, with a 14 year tenor, pays a margin of 275bp over SBI base rate.

Lenders are SBI Capital (Rs1bn), India Renewable Energy Devt Agency (Ireda, Rs478.5m) and State Bank of Hyderabad (Rs470m). Amarchand was the legal counsel to the lenders.
