Singapore Foreign Affairs and Law Minister K Shanmugam witnessed the signing ceremony of a joint water management programme between Singapore and the Public Health Engineering Department of the Government of Rajasthan in Jaipur on Wednesday (Feb 25).

The document was signed by Singapore Cooperation Enterprise (SCE) and the Public Health Engineering Department of Rajasthan.

The Singapore-India joint programme on water management is expected to help Rajasthan’s objective of achieving a successful and sustainable water management system.

The state government hopes experts from Singapore will be able to support and share expertise on water management and waste water treatment.

This programme falls under the ambit of the Terms of Reference, between SCE and the Government of Rajasthan, that was signed in October last year. It covered areas of collaboration, such as urban water management and governance of waste water treatment and water management.
