Phoenix Solar appoint new regional GM in Asia

Eric Fleckten (43) has been appointed General Manager of Phoenix Solar Pte Ltd, Singapore. In this position, which he assumed in November 2015, he also oversees the Phoenix Solar Group’s activities in the Asia Pacific region. Prior to joining Phoenix Solar, he held the post of Director of Business Development Emerging Markets at SunEdison, and before that led the operations of the Dry Sorbent Injection (UCC DSI) Joint Venture of United Conveyors. During his career, he also served as F-16 pilot with the Air National Guard of the US Air Force for eight years.

Eric holds a BS degree in Civil Engineering from Stanford University and has been a registered Professional Engineer in the USA (California) since 1998. He is a co-inventor of two US patents in the field of air pollution control and currently completing an MBA from the National University of Singapore.

He gained extensive experience and widened his skills base through managing international operations, developing projects, structuring deals and executing complex projects geared to ensuring profitability. Drawing on his technical and operational experience, with the capacity for strong team leadership and the ability to create and nurture partnerships, Eric will be making a significant contribution to strengthening the position of Phoenix Solar in the Asia Pacific Markets, as well as promoting the strong growth envisaged for the Phoenix Solar Group.
