Drake & Scull International, an engineering, construction and procurement company announced on Tuesday that Passavant Energy & Environment, its wholly-owned German subsidiary, has secured three contracts to build wastewater treatment plants in New Delhi and Bengaluru in India as well as Gaza in Palestine for a combined value of Dh246 million.
Passavant company will undertake the engineering, procurement and construction work for the treatment plants and additionally assume responsibility for the process design, procurement, installation, commissioning and operations and maintenance for the plants, the company said.
The company will execute the New Delhi and Palestine projects via joint ventures with Larsen & Toubro (L&T) and Masoud and Ali Contracting Company (MACC) respectively.

The wastewater treatment plants installed by the company worldwide are currently treating over 1 million cubic metres of water and generating more than 600 megawatts of electricity across Europe and the MENASA (Middle East, North Africa and South Asia) region.
