Goldwind appoints new president

The board of directors of Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Technology Co., Ltd. has announced that for the further development of the Company, Mr. Wang Haibo, an executive director and vice president of the Company, has been appointed as the President of the Company with effect from 9 January 2013.

In light of such appointment, the Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer and President of the Company, Mr. Wu Gang, has stepped down from the position of the President of the Company but remains as the Chairman of the Board and the Chief Executive Officer of the Company.
Mr. Wang’s appointment as the President will expire upon the expiry of the term of the 4th session of the Board.

Mr. Wang Haibo, aged 39, is an executive director of the Company. Mr. Wang graduated from Xinjiang Finance and Economics Institute with a bachelor degree. He was director of our Marketing Centre and Investment Development Department from 2001.

He also acted as the managing deputy general manager, general manager and the chairman of Beijing Tianrun New Energy Investment Co., Ltd. from 2007. He has been holding the positions of general manager and chief executive officer of Goldwind International Holdings (HK) Limited since January 2011 and January 2012, respectively.

Mr. Wang acted as a supervisor of the Company representing the Company’s employees from 2005 to March 2010. He was appointed as a vice president of the Company in March 2010. He was appointed as an executive director of the Company in June 2012.
