ENGIE is the new name of COFLEY

ENGIE is the new name of COFELY and brings new and integrated services to Singapore

As part of the international rebranding process of the GDF SUEZ Group into ENGIE, the Singaporean entities Cofely FMO, Cofely DC and Cofely South East Asia will henceforth be known respectively as ENGIE Services Singapore, ENGIE ITS and ENGIE Services Asia-Pacific. In streamlining its brand portfolio, ENGIE increases its visibility towards its external stakeholders, and creates a genuine spirit of belonging and unity internally.

“Technology’s progress and a growing demand for sustainability are profoundly changing the energy environment. This new reality has prompted us to reorganize our businesses and to accelerate innovation, based on digitalisation, decarbonisation, decentralisation and energy efficiency. The name change is a reflection of our Group’s transformation and expresses our belief that energy is everyone’s business: employees, shareholders, partners and customers,” said Pierre Cheyron, CEO of ENGIE Services Asia-Pacific.

Harnessing the power of cloud, big data/analytics, Internet of things, we aim to transform any critical environment into one that is responsive, agile, sustainable and intelligent.”

ENGIE has been operating in Singapore for more than 20 years and offers innovative long term services in energy efficiency and facility management to industrial and commercial clients from both the private and public sector. Since 2010, the LNG entity has supported ENGIE’s LNG trading and business development in Asia, where more than 11 million tonnes of LNG Sales and Purchase Agreements have been signed. In addition, ENGIE Global Markets is present in Singapore since 2012 with a trading platform dealing a wide range of energy financial products with approximately 1,000 TWh energy equivalent volumes per year. To address the region’s energy challenges, ENGIE Lab Singapore is conducting a series of R&D projects. ENGIE also has a 30% stake in Senoko Energy, which is the largest electricity generator in the country, and retails power to almost 20% of the contestable market.
