AVEVA’s E3D for Tianchen

Leading Chinese chemical engineering firm migrates to AVEVA’s most advanced 3D design software

Shanghai, China – 28 October 2014: AVEVA today announced that Tianchen, one of China’s largest engineering contractors serving the chemical processing industry, has selected AVEVA Everything3D (AVEVA E3D) as its 3D design solution. The decision was based on the solution’s advanced graphics, impressive collaboration functionality and its ease of use.

AVEVA E3D is the cornerstone of AVEVA’s Integrated Engineering & Design solution. This facilitates rapid project start up, design efficiency, standards compliance and removes rework by enabling right first time fabrication and construction. Tianchen had been working with AVEVA PDMS software for over a decade and this migration is a major step forward in increasing the efficiency of their design capabilities.

‘The open and flexible nature of AVEVA E3D is one of the major benefits we see to using this technology,’ explained Mr. Jiao Gongshe, IT director, Tianchen. ‘We need a solution that combines advanced 3D design capabilities, is easy to use and must be fully compatible with our existing AVEVA PDMS software. Additionally, AVEVA E3D will enable project team members from different disciplines to work globally to improve overall project quality.’

‘AVEVA E3D not only offers best-in-class productivity in 3D engineering design, it also enables rapid, automated generation of accurate and fully detailed design deliverables,’ stated Paul Eveleigh, Executive Vice president, Asia Pacific, AVEVA. ‘For any firm looking to boost its project efficiency and the quality of its engineering design it is the market-leading solution. It was its high productivity, together with its ease of deployment and powerful collaboration tools that quickly convinced Tianchen that AVEVA E3D is the right choice.’

AVEVA E3D is AVEVA’s premier, multi-discipline, 3D plant design solution. It combines the latest 3D graphics and user interface technologies with state-of-the-art data management to deliver the most comprehensive, productive and tightly integrated 3D plant design solution available..
