The Dominance of the Chinese Original Equipment Manufacturers; for worse or for better?

This exciting roundtable featured in the May-June China focus of Power Insider Asia, came at a very important period for the Chinese export market in the power industry. South East Asian regions such as Vietnam and Indonesia have seen an influx of Chinese equipment and engineering services as developers look for cost effective solutions to meet growing demand. India is another market that is feeling the benefits of the Chinese solution, but not without strong opposition from local manufacturers finding it difficult to compete on price. We sat down with Shanghai Electric, Harbin and Jiangsu Electric Power Design, to ask about their thoughts on the negative perceptions surrounding Chinese quality as they argued the case against them.
